These are made using natural, organic materials such as flax fibres, which are then mixed with resin to form a strong and watertight exterior, whilst contributing very little weight to the overall product. The insulation used in our Bio-SIP system sits between two exterior boards, which are bonded to the core. This combination of factors alone, means the recycled plastic core we use in our Bio-SIP systems is extremely well suited for use in garden studios both big and small, and b y recycling material in this way, a significant amount of plastic is prevented from ending up in landfill. It is also more rigid and importantly, water resistant, owing to its plastic properties. This newly formed material is much stronger compared to other types of foam, which is less able to withstand weight- loading and can weaken. This is then followed by a granulation process and lastly, extrusion foaming. After collection, the PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic bottles are sorted and crushed down to form flakes.

The PET foam core used in our composite panels is derived from plastic in the form of recycled drinks bottles, which would otherwise be headed for landfill. It is this clever technology that means your laptop can be left out on a hot summer’s day and won’t overheat, and you won’t be needing that extra jumper on a cold December morning either! This is achieved by tiny air-filled pockets known as closed-cells, created during the manufacture of the foam, which prevent thermal exchange from happening. The internal foam core structure works by keeping cold and warm air separate, preventing thermal transfer or heat loss from occurring. In fact, similar technology is used in the commercial refrigeration industry, which makes use of the same sophisticated engineering and materials we utilise in our Bio-SIP’s. Our Bio-SIP’s ensure your space stays warm and comfortable throughout even the coldest winter months, requiring only minimal heating to achieve and maintain an optimal temperature. For this reason, Qube’s Bio-SIP’s are the smarter choice for use in constructing and insulating your garden studio. This innovative and clever material delivers significant CO2 emission savings across its life span, helping to protect the environment long term, as well as immediately benefiting our customers with cost savings on heating. We use this air purifier a lot more than we initially expected and are very happy with it! I was allowed to test this product through review club to give my honest opinion. The Bio-SIP’s foam core is extremely lightweight and delivers superior thermal performance, developed using 100% recycled PET (polyethylene terephthalate) as the raw material base. use in the bedroom or move from hop to re-entry. The air purifier is standard in the living room in our house, but thanks to the super handy handle (tilts upwards and very nicely concealed in the top part) and the sleep mode (where the lights on the device also go out) you can also use it. When the air purifier is on, it is barely audible (unless it is turned up manually or by the auto mode), and in sleep mode you can't even hear that it is on.

Due to the "auto" function, it will blow harder and harder when the air quality decreases and we are back in fresh air faster (a plus is that the cooking smells also disappear faster in our opinion!).

Also striking is the effect of cooking on air quality! When we start cooking (open kitchen in apartment) the air quality actually changes from blue to sometimes even red (especially when grilling)! We now also turn the air purifier on for an hour on a timer as standard when we start cooking. In my opinion this works very well: I notice, for example, that when we start sneezing here in the house (due to hay fever) and switch on the air purifier, the air is “green”, and a little later when we no longer sneeze, blue. A real addition! “Blue” is best here, followed by the colors green, yellow and red. The lighting (which you can also switch off) is beautiful and very handy: you can see at a glance what the air quality is in the house. The appearance of this air purifier is very cool and looks great in your interior.
